BOUTIQUES EXCLUSIVE

Boutiques exclusive launch:

Three of Heirloom Garden's favourite microgreens selected for one reason: research validated nutrient density.

Designed to be grown indoors on your Microbed, next to a window, to create your very own kitchen garden from which you can cut fresh and eat within minutes of harvest for maximum bioavailability.

Zero miles on a plane or lorry, zero days of sitting on a supermarket shelf only to slowly wilt in your fridge, and most importantly, zero nutrient loss.

What's in the Heirloom Nutrition microgreen seed selection:

Broccoli Calabrese 45g 5 cycles 1 harvest per growing cycle
Sunflower 90g 5 cycles 1 harvest per growing cycle
Organic Maple Pea / Dou Miao 140g 4 cycles 2 harvests per growing cycle

"Grown consecutively (sowing and harvesting back to back without a break), the Heirloom Nutrition microgreen seed mix provides approximately 18-22 weeks (4-5 months) of microgreen harvests. For most growers, this bag will typically last 6-7 months."

Nutrition facts:

Broccoli Calabrese microgreens (Brassica oleracea italica): Probably the most studied microgreen in nutrition research. Broccoli microgreens contain anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer sulforaphane precursors at concentrations 10–40× higher than mature broccoli.

Sunflower microgreens (Helianthus annuus): With a mildly nutty taste, sunflower microgreens contain the most complete amino acid profile of any microgreen, with all nine essential amino acids present, which is exceptionally rare in the plant kingdom. True nutritional overachievers, they also offer heart-healthy omega 6 fatty acids, minerals and vitamins.

Maple Pea shoots / Dou Miao (Pisum sativum): Rounding out the trio, dou miao (豆苗) offers some of the highest protein and fibre content, as well as potassium, folate and multiple vitamins. However, it earns its place in this powerful mix for another reason: volume. While other microgreens are additions to dishes, maple pea shoots can be the basis of a complete dish. Stir fry a bowlful in a hot wok with garlic and a splash of soy sauce.

Sowing guidance and growing conditions:

Broccoli Calabrese microgreens: This 45g packet provides 5 growing cycles for your Microbed. Sow 9g per growing cycle. No soaking required. Indoors, place in a bright area with good ventilation after germination, but not in direct sunlight. Each growing cycle allows one harvest ~6 days after sowing.

Sunflower microgreens: This 90g packet provides 5 growing cycles for your Microbed. Sow 18g per growing cycle. Soak seeds for 4-6 hours before sowing. Indoors, place in a bright area with good ventilation after germination, but not in direct sunlight. Each growing cycle allows 1 harvest ~5-6 days after sowing.

Maple Pea / Dou Miao shoots: This 140g packet provides 4 growing cycles for your Microbed. Sow 35g per growing cycle. Soak each portion of seeds for 6-8 hours before sowing. Indoors, place in a bright area with good ventilation after germination, but not in direct sunlight. Each growing cycle allows 2 harvests, as pea tendril shoots will regrow after being cut above the first set of leaves every ~8 days.

Ideal seed storage temperature:

Broccoli Calabrese microgreen seeds should be stored between 5-15°C, preferably a cold, dry place, like a fridge or wine cooler. Higher temperatures and humidity levels will negatively impact seed viability.

Sunflower and maple pea seeds only need to be stored in a cool, dry place, away from sources of heat. They can also be stored with the Broccoli Calabrese microgreen seeds in colder and drier locations to maximise their viability.
